This article is long, and you may not want to read it all. However you should read at least the Introduction and the Problem, and even the Background/Overview sections, as they all go into great detail about the current situation in Uganda. I really like it because it is a straight forward, factual article. As the books I have reviewed are more novelistic, this article hits home with numbers and facts. Furthermore, it is current day numbers which shows how the problem, although slightly improving, is still there.

As I have researched, I wanted to know the stem of the problem of child soldiers. Many people know the name Joseph Kony, as a campaign called "Kony 2012" became a viral phenomenon two years ago. Yes the video left lots of people skeptical, but most of the information was dead on accurate. In the first of the two links above, the video is included as well as an in-depth article about Kony, his army called the LRA, and the stem of their brutal abductions. I really liked this article because it accurately described how it all started. In the second article, one of which is more current, it tells of the governments interaction with Kony and how he is currently labeled as a $11,000 reward. Both articles are very informational, however the first one truly hits home and inspires you to make a difference, at least it did for me.
